Cleveland Beach Provincial Park

St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia

Cleveland Beach Provincial Park

Cleveland Beach is found in the community of  Queensland on the Northern shore of St. Margaret’s Bay  in Nova Scotia.

There is ample parking with a dedicated parking lot with toilet facilities (seasonal).  To the left of the parking lot is the picnic area with tables beside the lake, which is a great spot to watch and feed the ducks.

The main beach at Cleveland beach Provincial Park stretches away perpendicular  to the parking lot and is long and sandy.

Cleveland Beach is shares the strange characteristics as the other beaches in St. Margaret’s Bay in that the winter storms wash away the sand leaving boulders, but fortunately the sand is returned in the spring ready for everyone to enjoy during the summer months.

If you take the walking trail which follows the beach right around the peninsular there is a further small sandy beach overlooking Puddle Bay.

This photo is looking back towards the parking lot with the ocean on the left & the small lake on the right.

This is a winter photo so you can see that Cleveland Beach itself has lost it’s sand with boulders remaining.

If you follow the walking trail around the peninsular at

Cleveland Beach Provincial Park you can see this old fisherman's shed & wharf which is situated near to the small beach.

This is a spring photo so you can see that more sand has returned to Cleveland Beach.
